About The Event
On Saturday 11th March, Dean Forest Railway Society and Dean Forest Locomotive Group members are cordially invited to celebrate the return to service of Pannier tank no. 9681, following a comprehensive overhaul. As a special thank you to our members, entry to the day is free with light refreshments from Whistles Cafe and food at Parkend available for a small fee. We anticipate the 9681 ceremony to start around 10am, with both 9681 and 5541 out and about all day on a mix of passenger and freight services.
We kindly ask you to reserve tickets to enable us to adequately prepare for the expected number of visitors. Tickets are free, but if you would like to make a donation you are more than welcome to specify your own price.
